Polkadot Price Outlook: Will DOT React From H2 Supply?

  • DOT pumped despite skipping a textbook liquidity sweep
  • H2 supply zone overhead could trigger a reaction
  • Two equal lows and a demand below hint at possible downside sweep before continuation

Polkadot didn’t follow the script — and that’s exactly why we’re talking about it.

In the previous article, we expected DOT to dip just a little lower, grabbing the last liquidity resting below the daily structure before heading higher.

That never happened. The price simply pumped.

Now, you might be wondering: why would a chart behave so cleanly in one scenario and totally skip key zones in another? The answer lies in trading volume.

With major assets like Ethereum and Bitcoin, there’s enough volume — and frankly, enough “meat” on the market — to justify big liquidity hunts.

For altcoins like Polkadot, that luxury doesn’t always exist. It’s not worth diving deep into pools of liquidity if there’s not enough volume to justify the risk.

H2 Chart Setting Up Another Trap?

Fast forward to today — we’re seeing a supply zone overhead on the H2 timeframe.

And just below the current price structure, two equal lows are sitting like juicy targets for a potential liquidity sweep. Underneath those equal lows? A demand zone that might act as support if price decides to dip and grab stops.

So what does that mean for DOT in the short term? It’s a delicate dance. The market may push into that H2 supply, react from there, sweep the lows, and tap into demand — classic price action. But again, smaller caps don’t always go for the perfect move.

Not All Coins Are Built the Same

What happened with DOT is a reminder: not all coins move like BTC.

While Bitcoin might clean up every wick and fill every imbalance like it’s prepping for a textbook, coins like Polkadot often skip steps. Sometimes because they just don’t have to — sometimes because they simply can’t. Lower liquidity means less incentive to overextend just to grab stops.

If you’re trying to play these zones, adapt. Watch how the price reacts at that H2 supply. If it respects the zone, great. But if it breaks right through? It might be hunting something bigger.

Same thing with the downside. Equal lows are tempting targets, but it doesn’t mean DOT must sweep them. And as always — we’re just working with possibilities, not certainties.

Price can always do whatever it wants. These scenarios? They’re just maps. Not GPS.
