World Liberty Financial has stepped up its token management strategy with a mix of buybacks and burns aimed at tightening supply.
More than $1 million in fees collected across Solana, BSC, and Ethereum networks was redirected into WLFI repurchases. Soon after, nearly 8 million tokens were permanently removed from circulation on BSC and Ethereum. However, about 3 million WLFI on Solana — valued at over $600,000 — were left untouched, hinting at potential future burns or ecosystem use.
The move signals a deliberate attempt to strengthen tokenomics while maintaining flexibility across multiple chains. By recycling fees into supply reduction, WLFI is positioning itself as an active participant in balancing market pressures. Traders often view these types of programs as a way to support long-term value, though short-term volatility may remain.
Meanwhile, large-scale investors, commonly referred to as whales, have been making their presence felt. A newly created wallet, identified as 0xd80D, has prepared over $71 million in USDC to accumulate XPL.
Of that, $30 million has already been deployed on Hyperliquid, purchasing nearly 13 million tokens worth $17.4 million. Market trackers suggest this may be just the beginning of a larger accumulation phase.
ASTER, another fast-rising token, also drew attention after major withdrawals from Gate.io. One whale wallet secured two large batches valued at nearly $23 million combined. Current estimates place this whale’s holdings at about 130 million ASTER, roughly 8% of the circulating supply — a stake large enough to influence liquidity and price dynamics in the weeks ahead.
The clustering of these events underscores how whale strategies and project-led token adjustments can shape market sentiment in real time.
