Cathie Wood, CEO of ARK Invest, has highlighted HYPE token as a potential “next Solana,” citing its dominance in the decentralized exchange (DEX) space. Her remarks come as perpetual DEX trading volumes surpassed $2 trillion this quarter, marking a major industry milestone.
Cathie Wood Backs Hyperliquid’s Rise
In a recent interview, Wood compared Hyperliquid’s breakout to Solana’s early years, when the blockchain rapidly evolved from a standard network into a key player in the crypto industry.
Wood confirmed that ARK Invest is closely monitoring Hyperliquid’s development. She revealed that ARK is also consulting economist Art Laffer, who has ties to the project.
While ARK has not yet taken direct investment action, Wood emphasized Hyperliquid’s explosive growth in perpetual decentralized exchange (perp DEX) trading as a critical factor to watch.
Could Hyperliquid Mirror Solana’s Growth?
Wood argued that if liquidity and adoption continue to accelerate, Hyperliquid’s trajectory could follow a similar path to Solana’s meteoric rise.
With trading volumes soaring past $2 trillion and more companies joining the Hyberliquid ecosystem, the platform’s position in the next wave of DeFi infrastructure is becoming increasingly clear.
