From Beverage Brand to Blockchain Player
Originally founded to develop products that enhance alcohol safety, Safety Shot has pivoted to digital asset management and crypto investment. The rebranding, the company said, reflects “a clear strategic shift toward managing and leveraging digital assets, particularly within the meme coin economy.”
The move follows Bonk, Inc.’s acquisition of income-generating crypto assets although the specific holdings have not yet been disclosed. The company’s new name is directly inspired by BONK, the well-known Solana (SOL)-based meme coin that gained viral popularity earlier this year.
Brand Overhaul Signals Strategic Reinvention
According to the company, the rebrand is part of a broader strategy to divest non-performing assets, streamline operations, and reposition itself for growth in the blockchain industry. After facing headwinds in the traditional beverage market, Bonk, Inc. said it now seeks to align its corporate identity with a new, more dynamic business model centered on digital finance and crypto brand management.
The pivot was reportedly driven in part by shareholder pressure, as investors urged the company to pursue more profitable and culturally relevant opportunities within the digital economy.
Market analysts view the name change as a calculated attempt to capture public attention and investor enthusiasm around meme coins, a trend increasingly blurring the lines between internet culture and mainstream finance.
