Fan Tokens at the Core of AC Milan’s Web3 Strategy
Under the renewed agreement, Socios.com will continue as AC Milan’s Global Partner and Official Fan Token Partner. The collaboration, which began in 2021, has leveraged blockchain and Web3 technology to create deeper fan connections across more than 119 countries.
To date, over 850 fans have earned real-world rewards, including matchday experiences, behind-the-scenes tours, and personalized interactions with players, through fan token–based participation.
The success of these initiatives, such as fan-voted kit designs, tribute stand naming, and events linked to the Milan Marathon, drove the decision to extend the deal.
“We’ve built a meaningful connection with our global fanbase through unique initiatives,” said Michael Oettel, AC Milan’s Chief Commercial Officer. “This renewal allows us to continue deepening that bond in innovative ways.”
Socios.com CEO Alexandre Dreyfus added, “AC Milan embodies the potential of Web3 in sports engagement, and we’re excited to take this partnership into its next phase.”
The Next Chapter: Token-Gated Experiences
Starting in the 2025/26 season, the partnership will introduce a Fan Token–Gated Content Series, giving ACM token holders access to live events, exclusive interviews, and meet-and-greet sessions via a dedicated digital platform.
The ACM Fan Token, available exclusively through Socios.com, will serve not only as a reward mechanism but also as a gateway to immersive digital experiences, underscoring the role of blockchain in transforming traditional fan engagement.
In its official statement, AC Milan described the ACM token as the “core of its engagement ecosystem,” reflecting how cryptocurrency and NFT technology are becoming integral to global sports brands.
