Titled “Killing Satoshi,” the thriller aims to unravel the mystery behind Nakamoto’s identity and the fate of approximately 1.1 million dormant bitcoin, currently valued at over $120 billion.

Directed by Doug Liman and written by Nick Schenk, the film stars Casey Affleck and Pete Davidson.
Production will begin in London in October, with a release scheduled for 2026.

According to the producers, the film’s tone is inspired by “The Social Network,” using the bitcoin origin story to explore the impact of revolutionary technology.
