CZ: "Bitcoin will surpass gold in market cap"… What new cryptocurrencies are gaining attention?

Markets 2025-10-23 10:06

Bitcoin's resurgence is rekindling optimism across the cryptocurrency market. Many analysts predict that the world's largest cryptocurrency could reach a new all-time high this weekend or next week.

Bitcoin is expected to set a new price record in October, and investors remain confident that the upward trend will continue in November, even if short-term momentum slows somewhat.

This renewed bullish sentiment is also drawing attention to Bitcoin Hyper, a new Bitcoin Layer 2 project that is gaining traction among investors seeking the best new cryptocurrency. The project aims to improve Bitcoin's scalability and usability through advanced blockchain technology.

Why Analysts Believe Bitcoin Could Outperform Gold

Bitcoin is trading at $111,000, down about 4% from last week. While price action has slowed and appeared volatile, the recovery after recent volatility still appears robust. Bitcoin has fallen about 4% over the past month, but has gained 61% over the past year.

This year, Bitcoin has averaged annual returns of nearly 100%. To maintain this upward trend in November and beyond, another strong rally is needed.

Many analysts anticipate this, given the current momentum and bullish market sentiment. Investors are now bracing for a shift in how the broader financial community values Bitcoin.

Institutional demand continues to grow. Strategy has purchased an additional 168 Bitcoins for $18.8 million, further strengthening its long-term confidence in Bitcoin as an inflation hedge and store of value, despite the smaller size of its previous purchase.

Binance founder CZ boldly asserted on social media that "Bitcoin will overtake gold." While acknowledging that it may take time, he described it as inevitable.

Many cryptocurrency investors share this belief, anticipating that Bitcoin's adoption and increasing institutional participation will challenge gold's role as a global store of value within five years.

A large Bitcoin whale recently opened a $121 million short position with 10x leverage and set a liquidation level of $135,000. While this move signals expectations of short-term volatility or a correction, large short positions are often liquidated during strong bull markets, which could fuel further price surges.

Political developments are also influencing market sentiment. Former US President Donald Trump recently hinted at a possible meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea, saying China showed "great respect" during negotiations.

He hinted that trade talks may be close to a deal, but warned that China could face 155% tariffs if an agreement isn't reached by November 1st. This uncertainty is putting even more pressure on global markets, which often move in tandem with Bitcoin's volatility.

The Federal Reserve announced that it will host a conference on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payments, a move seen as a sign of growing institutional interest in integrating digital assets into mainstream finance.

In Asia, Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA) is considering allowing major banks to purchase and hold Bitcoin by 2026. This move demonstrates growing acceptance of cryptocurrencies within traditional banking.

A TD Cowen report highlighted Bitcoin's resilience following a recent $19 billion plunge. The firm characterized the recovery as a sign of strength, reaffirming its year-end target of $141,000 by December, after the price fell 15% before rebounding to close 8% lower.

The Best Cryptocurrencies to Buy Before BTC Reaches All-Time Highs

Bitcoin Hyper is a layer-2 network that addresses Bitcoin's biggest problems: slow transaction speeds and high fees. It addresses these issues without sacrificing the robust security that made Bitcoin famous. It can be thought of as adding a Supercharger to the Bitcoin blockchain.

The project utilizes zk-rollups, a technology that bundles thousands of transactions into a single cryptographic batch with zero-knowledge proofs. While Bitcoin's base layer can only process 3-7 transactions per second, Bitcoin Hyper can process thousands in just milliseconds.

Bitcoin Hyper is also notable for leveraging Solana's Virtual Machine (SVM). This allows developers to migrate Solana-based code to Bitcoin Hyper and benefit from faster parallel transaction processing.

A trustless, regular bridge connects Bitcoin Hyper to the main Bitcoin blockchain via a "Bitcoin Relay Program" smart contract. This architecture maintains Bitcoin's security while enabling seamless interaction with the Solana ecosystem.

The Bitcoin Hyper pre-sale is approaching $25 million and continuing its upward trend. $HYPER tokens are priced at $0.013155, and investors can purchase using cryptocurrency, credit cards, or debit cards. A compatible wallet like Best Wallet is required.

Whale investors are also participating. Several six-figure purchases, including one worth $274,000 in early October, have occurred. Such large-scale purchases often demonstrate that experienced investors are able to spot potential before the broader market.

Crypto YouTuber Botch Crypto recently rated $HYPER as the best new cryptocurrency to buy right now. He believes this early whale accumulation could spark a major rally once $HYPER is listed on Uniswap.

Current holders can stake $HYPER to increase their holdings before the official launch of Bitcoin Hyper. The staking protocol offers flexible rewards of up to 48% APY.
