Best Crypto to Buy Now: As WLFI Tanks After Launch This ICO Keeps Raising Millions

The official token of World Liberty Financial (WLFI) was listed on public exchanges this week after months of waiting.

The Trump-backed decentralized finance (DeFi) platform struggled to inform the public appropriately about the project’s tokenomics and there was some confusion about how much of it would be allocated to the community, insiders, exchanges, etc.

On Tuesday, the token went live and was quickly listed by top crypto exchanges, including Upbit, Binance, Coinbase, and OKX.

Despite the initial hype, WLFI quickly started to plummet, dropping from a post-listing peak of $0.36 to $0.167 at some point. This inflicted a 54% loss on retail traders who bought at the peak while whales cashed out.

One notable incident involving the founder of Tron, Justin Sun, uncovers what could have happened.

It appears that Sun owned 3% of the token’s total supply, according to crypto entrepreneur Quinten Francois, who shared on X his take on what went down.

Sun’s crypto exchange HTX offered a 20% annual percentage yield (APY) on $WLFI deposits to attract buyers and may have used this liquidity to exit a portion of his big stake. Although Sun denied these allegations, WLFI blacklisted his wallet today, possibly confirming Francois’s allegations.

Today, WLFI has bounced back and has surged by 5% in the past 24 hours while trading volumes remain quite high at more than a third of the token’s circulating supply.

WLFI Could Drop Further If It Fails to Recapture the $0.21 Level

The hourly chart in OKX shows the strong selling pressure that followed after the price hit $0.40. This may have been a second round of selling that came after the token’s first post-listing pump.

Right now, the price has dipped below a key support at around $0.21 and could retest this level from below soon. If the market rejects a move above this area, this could result in a deeper drop to the $0.10 area in the near term.

This wave of bearish momentum endangers the project’s credibility and long-term prospects to some extent, so it seems likely that the Trump family will intervene to push the price higher with some buybacks.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has sent a sell signal as it moved below the 14-period moving average, while the MACD is showing signs that positive momentum has faded. Hence, either we get to $0.21 before the next leg down, or the downtrend may pick up its pace from where the price is at the time of writing.

Although the performance of WLFI days after its listing may have been disappointing, a hot crypto presale called Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER) has captured investors’ attention, as it could kickstart a golden era for Bitcoin’s DeFi by introducing a Solana-powered L2.

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) Rockets Past $14M as BTCFi Goes Next Level

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is a layer-2 chain built to supercharge Bitcoin’s potential, using Solana’s speed to give BTC holders new ways to stake, lend, and put their coins to work.

The magic happens through the Hyper Bridge: send BTC to a secure wallet on the Bitcoin chain and instantly get the corresponding amount of tokens in the Hyper L2 to access a full suite of DeFi apps without leaving the safety of the Bitcoin blockchain behind.

As top wallets and exchanges plug into this system, the demand for $HYPER should skyrocket as the settlement token for every transaction executed in this L2.

Presale buyers are already scooping tokens at just $0.012845 with the expectation that the price will explode once $HYPER is listed on top exchanges. The hype around this launch is only heating up.

To buy $HYPER, simply head to the Bitcoin Hyper website, connect your wallet, and swap ETH or USDT – or you can just make your purchase directly with a bank card.
