YGG Play, the publishing arm of Yield Guild Games, grows the Casual Degen gaming market with LOL Land, strategic partnerships, and the upcoming YGG Play Summit 2025 in Manila.

Yield Guild Games’ publishing division, YGG Play, is positioning itself as a major force in casual web3 gaming, focusing on experiences that are easy to access, engaging, and built for crypto-native players. The division works with developers to provide end-to-end support, including go-to-market strategies, player growth, monetization, and community engagement, ensuring that on-chain games are sustainable beyond initial hype cycles.
LOL Land Leads YGG Play’s Publishing Strategy
YGG Play’s first in-house release, LOL Land, is a browser-based board game that has generated over $4.5 million in lifetime revenue as of October 2025. The game has helped establish the Casual Degen category by offering quick, low-friction gameplay that resonates with users familiar with NFTs, wallets, and crypto tokens. LOL Land has also enabled cross-IP collaborations, most notably with Pudgy Penguins, resulting in culturally relevant content and community-driven expansions.
Third-party partnerships have further extended YGG Play’s reach. Projects like Gigaverse and Delabs Games have benefited from growth marketing, community engagement, and player acquisition support, while expansions such as Pengu Wonderland and GIGACHAD Baseball have introduced additional gameplay elements and branded content. YGG Play’s approach demonstrates how casual web3 games can maintain player interest while generating recurring revenue.
Launching the YGG Play Launchpad
The YGG Play Launchpad, went live on October 15, 2025, is designed as a central platform for discovering Casual Degen games, participating in quests, and accessing token launches starting with $LOL. The Launchpad complements YGG Play’s strategy of supporting developers and connecting games to a growing crypto-native player base. In addition to the Launchpad, the division hosts LOL Lounge, a podcast that explores game design, tokenomics, and web3 publishing strategies, featuring interviews with developers, founders, and industry leaders.
YGG Play Summit 2025
From November 19 to 22, 2025, YGG Play Summit will transform Manila into a “City of Play,” hosting the world’s largest player-focused web3 gaming event. The summit includes esports tournaments with significant prize pools, playable demos of popular web3 titles, workshops, roundtable discussions, and live podcast recordings. Our GAM3 Awards will be held on the 21st, to celebrate the best in the inddustry.
Educational programming is led by YGG’s Metaversity, while the Degen District showcases YGG Play’s casual titles, including LOL Land. The event also features cosplay competitions and a closing concert, offering multiple ways for attendees to engage with games and the broader crypto gaming community.
The summit has attracted sponsors and speakers from major web3 gaming organizations, including Sky Mavis, Pixels, Parallel TCG, Ubisoft, OpenSea, and more. Game demos and competitions highlight titles like Axie Infinity: Atia's Legacy, Pixels, Parallel Colony, and Seekers of Tokane, providing both casual and competitive players with opportunities to experience the latest developments in blockchain gaming firsthand.
Casual Degen Games and Player Growth
YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon explains that Casual Degen games are effective at onboarding players because they target users who are crypto-native but may not identify as traditional gamers. These players are already comfortable with wallets, tokens, and NFTs, which allows them to engage with on-chain games immediately.
Instead of relying on hype or VC backing, YGG Play focuses on building sustainable game loops and integrating on-chain economies to generate recurring revenue. By concentrating on the crypto-native audience, YGG Play aims to deepen engagement and foster organic growth across the Casual Degen segment.
