XRP price prediction is drawing attention once again as Rex-Osprey is set to launch its XRP ETF today. The SEC has cleared the fund without raising any objection during the 75-day review period.
The REX-Osprey XRP ETF has earned its post-effective status, meaning it is going to launch on September 12th.
Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas says it is allowed to start trading, but could be delayed if the SEC makes a last-minute objection. Essentially, this will be the first XRP ETF fund to list in the U.S. under the ’40 Act structure.

Franklin’s application was likely filed under the ‘33 Act as opposed to REX-Osprey’s ’40 Act pathway.
According to Balchunas, the ETFs filed under the ’40 Act do not “directly invest fully in spot.” In comparison, the ’33 Act filings seek more direct exposure, which could be the primary reason for their delay.
The SEC requires additional time to review the proposal and consider its impacts on the market. This delay suggests that the SEC handles each application on an individual basis.
However, this leads to a growing backlog. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart posted that 92 crypto ETPs were sitting in the US pipeline as of August 29th.
