In its fourth quarterly token burn of 2025, the OORT Foundation has permanently eliminated 1.5 million OORT tokens from circulation, aiming to strengthen its ecosystem and boost the token’s value. This action is part of the foundation’s ongoing deflationary approach, which seeks to decrease the overall supply and heighten scarcity, thereby increasing demand for OORT tokens. The burn, with an estimated value of $33,810, accounts for 0.08% of the total 2 billion token supply and 0.23% of the tokens currently in circulation.
This recent burn continues the foundation’s consistent reduction of tokens. Since January 2025, 8.27 million OORT tokens have been destroyed, bringing the total number of tokens burned since the project’s launch to 17.35 million.
In August, the foundation removed
4 million tokens valued at $116,000 during a major token unlock, marking a period of stability for the token’s economic model. The November burn was executed in two parts: 900,000 tokens through Gate.io and 600,000 tokens via Bitget. The foundation also eliminated 1,471,606 tokens using a different method, further demonstrating its dedication to reducing supply.

The OORT Foundation, which specializes in scalable AI data collection, has highlighted that these deflationary steps are intended to reward long-term holders by making tokens more scarce and supporting sustainable expansion. The foundation also revealed intentions to dedicate more revenue toward targeted marketing and attracting new users to its DataHub platform, a decentralized AI data cloud solution.
This combined emphasis on reducing token supply and growing the ecosystem illustrates the foundation’s larger goal to encourage adoption of its Olympus Layer-1 blockchain, built on DAG technology, and its Deimos Edge Nodes I and II. For the future, the foundation has mapped out a plan for ongoing token burns, with 6 million tokens set to unlock every quarter for the next two and a half years. The team emphasized that these initiatives are meant to maintain a healthy token economy while keeping community interests at the forefront.
By utilizing DAG-based technology-an energy-saving data structure-the foundation seeks to establish itself as a frontrunner in scalable and sustainable blockchain innovation.
