Metaplanet, the fourth-largest Bitcoin treasury holder, has paused its Bitcoin acquisitions for the tenth consecutive week since September 30, 2025, amid a market correction. This strategic shift comes as the company, often dubbed the 'Asian MicroStrategy,' redirects its focus towards stock buybacks and optimizing its capital structure. Since April 2024, Metaplanet had amassed over 30,000 BTC. In contrast, Strategy has recently invested $962.7 million to acquire 10,624 BTC at an average price of $90,615 each. This divergence highlights a broader trend among digital asset treasury companies, which are increasingly prioritizing risk management over aggressive Bitcoin accumulation.
