The average gas fees have plummeted from 18.85 gwei to 0.71 gwei following Ethereum's recent upgrades, enhancing the platform's performance and liquidity, according to founder Kain Warwick. Previously, Synthetix utilized layer-2 solutions such as Optimism and Arbitrum to mitigate high transaction costs. This strategic shift back to the mainnet could potentially inspire other decentralized exchanges to follow suit, reinforcing Ethereum's position as a leading platform in the DeFi space.
