Bhutan has made its initial entry into Ethereum staking by investing 320 ETH, valued at $906,500, through the Figment platform on December 17, 2025. This follows a similar investment made on November 27, highlighting Bhutan's growing interest in cryptocurrency staking. Institutional staking has become a dominant force in the Ethereum network, with professional platforms now controlling over 99% of validators. Liquid staking tokens account for 31-33% of the total staked ETH, while exchanges manage 24-25%. Figment, a non-custodial validator, supports over 1,000 institutional clients and reported no slashing incidents in the third quarter of 2025.
