The Glamsterdam fork will enable parallel processing and increase the gas limit to 200 million, up from the current 60 million. Validators will transition to verifying zero-knowledge proofs (ZK), paving the way for Ethereum Layer 1 to achieve a target of 10,000 transactions per second. Additionally, the number of data blocks per block is expected to rise, with each block accommodating over 72 data blocks, further boosting Layer 2 transaction processing capabilities.
