Ripple has successfully settled its long-standing lawsuit with the SEC as of August 2025, concluding a legal battle that began in 2020. Following the settlement, XRP's price surged to a new all-time high of $3.65, briefly positioning it as the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization in July. Additionally, Ripple launched RLUSD, which quickly amassed a value of $1.3 billion. The company has also expanded its institutional presence through the launch of XRP ETFs and strategic acquisitions of Hidden Road and GTreasury. These developments come as Ripple aligns with global regulatory efforts, including measures against the financing of terrorism and compliance with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation.
