Kraken Introduces xStocks for European Investors with Tokenized US Stocks

Kraken has launched xStocks, a new service offering tokenized US stocks and ETFs to European investors. This initiative allows users in the European Economic Area (EEA) to access 60 assets, including major companies like Apple, Tesla, and NVIDIA, through SPL tokens on the Solana blockchain. These tokens are backed 1:1 by real stocks, enabling fractional investments starting at just 1€. In partnership with Backed Finance, Kraken's xStocks provides 24/5 trading and 24/7 DeFi access, with no trading fees for USD or USDG transactions. Dividends are automatically reinvested, and tokens can be used as collateral on platforms such as Kamino. To use the service, investors must complete KYC and a suitability test.
