Bankman-Fried, who was convicted in 2023, is appealing his sentence. During an interview with The New York Times, Trump was asked about potential pardons for several individuals, including former Venezuelan leader Maduro and musician Sean "Diddy" Combs. Bankman-Fried's chances of receiving a pardon are considered slim, partly due to his $5.2 million donation to Biden's campaign in 2020. Trump also defended his pro-crypto stance, citing significant voter support and a growing personal interest in the sector.
