BitMine, Ethereum's largest institutional holder, has maintained a cash reserve of $915 million, which could be used to increase its Ethereum holdings. The company has already spent $105 million on Ethereum purchases in the first eight days of 2026, aiming to accumulate 5% of Ethereum's circulating supply. Currently, BitMine holds 4.07 million ETH, valued at $12.6 billion, representing 3.36% of the total supply. Ethereum developers have successfully completed the final "Blob Parameters Only (BPO)" fork as part of the Fusaka upgrade. This update increases the target number of blobs per block from 10 to 14 and the upper limit from 15 to 21, enhancing the network's data availability. The BPO mechanism allows for phased adjustments to key parameters, supporting the network's capacity expansion without waiting for large annual upgrades.
