Two suspects in the JPEX case have been charged with laundering approximately HKD 26.4 million, according to recent updates from Hong Kong's Wen Wei Po. The unlicensed virtual asset trading platform JPEX was exposed in 2023 for alleged fraud involving celebrities and influencers. The cases against the two suspects are being heard separately in the District Court, with proceedings adjourned to March 31 and April 9. The prosecution has filed notices of increased charges, and 16 individuals have been prosecuted in connection with the case.
