The operation was initiated after the victim's friend received a distress message and alerted authorities. The message indicated that the victim was being held by four armed Chinese individuals and had been coerced into transferring approximately $400,000 in cryptocurrency, along with an additional $14,000 payment. Despite these payments, the suspects continued to demand more money, threatening to sell the victim's organs or traffic him to another country if their demands were not met.
