NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced that the company has been invited by OpenAI to invest up to $10 billion, though it is not a firm commitment. Huang expressed honor at the invitation and indicated that NVIDIA will proceed with the investment gradually. The investment, outlined in a letter of intent from September, is intended to support the development of new data centers and AI infrastructure. The proposed deal aims to enable OpenAI to construct data centers with a power capacity of at least 10 gigawatts, comparable to New York City's peak electricity demand. These centers will be equipped with NVIDIA's advanced chips to facilitate the training and deployment of AI models.
