DeFi derivatives protocol Polynomial has announced the closure of its operations, including Polynomial Chain and Polynomial Trade. The shutdown process began on February 14th, with forced liquidation scheduled for February 18th, the liquidity layer closing on February 24th, and the complete cessation of the chain on March 3rd. Polynomial has also cancelled its planned token generation event (TGE) for the first quarter of 2026, citing the decision not to "issue tokens for a dying product." The team plans to retain participant data and offer early backers priority access to future products from the new company.
