Mastercard and Google are collaborating to introduce a Verifiable Intent standardized trust layer aimed at providing verifiable authorization records for AI agent payments. This new mechanism will be compatible with Google's Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) and Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP). It will be integrated into Mastercard's Agent Pay intent API, enabling AI agents to perform automated payments on behalf of users while ensuring verifiable authorization and privacy.
