A white-hat hacker known as f4lc0n has revealed a critical vulnerability in the Injective protocol that could potentially expose over $500 million in assets. Despite the severity of the issue, the Injective team has only offered a $50,000 reward, significantly lower than the maximum $500,000 bounty for such discoveries. The vulnerability, which allows any user to erase any account on the blockchain without special privileges, was reported through Immunefi, prompting a mainnet upgrade vote to address the flaw. However, f4lc0n claims that the Injective team has been unresponsive for three months and has yet to pay the promised reward. In response, he has pledged to allocate 10% of future bug bounty earnings to raise awareness about the issue until the full bounty is paid.
