Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has reportedly surpassed Bill Gates in net worth, becoming the world's 17th richest person with a net worth of $110 billion, according to Forbes. This marks an increase of $47 billion from the previous year. CZ questioned the logic of this estimation, noting the significant decline in cryptocurrency values in 2026. Forbes also reported that in March of the previous year, Abu Dhabi's MGX invested $2 billion in Binance, and the exchange agreed to accept USD1 stablecoin from the Trump family's crypto project, World Liberty Financial, as a payment method. Additionally, Binance denied recent media claims that it fired a key investigator who flagged $1 billion flowing to sanctioned Iranian entities.
