IMC Trading has appointed Alex Casimo as Chief Commercial Officer for its cryptocurrency division. Casimo, who started his role in London this week, will focus on expanding IMC's institutional crypto business. The Dutch market maker currently operates on 50 exchanges with a daily trading volume of around $3 billion. Casimo brings experience from his previous roles as co-founder and COO of Portofino Technologies and at Citadel Securities. This move reflects the growing trend of traditional financial institutions entering the digital asset market amid increasing demand and regulatory clarity.
