Securitize has announced a partnership with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to develop a digital transfer agent solution for tokenized securities. As part of the collaboration, Securitize will be qualified to mint native on-chain securities for corporations and ETF issuers on the NYSE's tokenized securities platform. The partnership aims to support on-chain settlement of tokenized securities transactions. In addition to the digital transfer agent project, Securitize and NYSE will work together to establish industry standards for digital and tokenized transfer agents. This initiative will focus on regulatory requirements, operational processes, and technical specifications to enhance institutional-grade infrastructure for tokenized securities. The digital transfer agent is envisioned as a blockchain-enhanced version of traditional transfer agents, potentially enabling on-chain equity registration and real-time settlement.
