The LML/USDT staking protocol on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) has reportedly suffered a price manipulation attack, resulting in an estimated loss of $950,000. According to BlockSec Phalcon monitoring, the attack exploited a pricing vulnerability in the protocol's reward calculation. The attacker manipulated the LML price by controlling the trading pair, then extracted rewards using controlled staked addresses, and finally sold the tokens at inflated prices for profit. The core issue was identified as a discrepancy between the reward settlement price and the real-time execution price, allowing the attacker to arbitrage through price manipulation and reverse trading.
