DBA and Flashbots Leaders Propose 45% Reduction in HYPE Token Supply

Jon Charbonneau, founder of DBA, and Hasu, strategic lead at Flashbots, have proposed a 45% reduction in the total supply of HYPE tokens. The plan involves revoking unissued tokens allocated for future unlocks and community rewards, burning tokens in the Aid Fund, and removing the 10 HYPE maximum supply cap. The proposal aims to address concerns over Hyperliquid's large authorized but uncirculated token supply without affecting current holders' relative ownership or the protocol's funding capabilities. Both Charbonneau and Hasu, who hold significant HYPE positions, intend to support the proposal in a governance vote.
