Exodus Movement, a publicly traded cryptocurrency company, has filed a lawsuit in the Delaware Court of Chancery against W3C and its CEO, Garth Howat. The lawsuit demands the enforcement of a $175 million acquisition agreement signed on November 24, 2025. According to the suit, Howat and W3C accepted an $80 million loan from Exodus at the time of the deal, with $10 million allegedly paid to Howat personally. Exodus accuses Howat of attempting to misappropriate subsidiary funds, backdate government documents, and change management to evade contractual obligations. Exodus asserts that the agreement is binding and expects the transaction to be completed.
