Squads, a multi-signature protocol based on Solana, has identified an address poisoning attack targeting its users. Attackers are creating multi-signature accounts that closely resemble legitimate addresses to trick users into making erroneous transactions. This issue is classified as a social engineering attack at the interface level, with no reported financial losses or protocol vulnerabilities. Squads advises users to avoid interacting with unknown multi-signature accounts and plans to introduce risk alerts and a whitelist mechanism to enhance security.
