The CLARITY Act, aimed at clarifying the regulatory responsibilities between the SEC and CFTC for digital assets, has been removed from the US Senate's daily session calendar, stalling its progress. Despite passing the House of Representatives in July 2025, the bill remains stuck in the Senate due to disagreements over stablecoin yield regulations. If not voted on by April 25, 2026, the initiative will be effectively dead for the year. Kevin Warsh, nominated as Jerome Powell's successor for Federal Reserve Chair, disclosed his wealth, revealing over $100 million in crypto-related holdings. Warsh's portfolio includes investments in Bitwise, Ethereum Layer 2 Blast, and Bitcoin Lightning infrastructure Flashnet. Federal Reserve rules require him to divest these holdings if confirmed. Goldman Sachs has filed its first Bitcoin ETF with the SEC, marking a significant shift for the firm. The Goldman Sachs Bitcoin Premium Income ETF will focus on generating premium income through covered call strategies, targeting income-oriented investors. The launch is anticipated for late June 2026.
