This follows Iran's announcement on Friday that the Strait of Hormuz would be fully open to commercial shipping, only to regain control over the passage on Saturday. U.S. President Trump announced that negotiations with Iran would resume on Monday in Islamabad, Pakistan. However, Iran's Foreign Ministry has stated there are no current plans for further talks with the United States. Investors are also keeping an eye on upcoming crude oil inventories and initial jobless claims data this week.
