Sui ecosystem protocol Volo has confirmed a security breach resulting in the theft of approximately $3.5 million from its vaults, including assets such as WBTC, XAUm, and USDC. The incident, disclosed on social media platform X, prompted Volo to immediately notify the Sui Foundation and ecosystem partners, and freeze all vaults to prevent further losses. The attack was limited to three specific vaults, with the remaining $28 million in total value locked (TVL) confirmed secure and no common vulnerability vector identified. Volo has committed to covering all losses from the incident, ensuring users are not impacted. The protocol is collaborating with on-chain investigators to recover the stolen funds and plans to release a comprehensive post-mortem and remediation plan once the investigation concludes.
