XChat Introduces Public Group Chat Links; Communities Feature to End

XChat has launched a new feature allowing users to create and share public group chat links directly on their timelines, according to X product head Nikita Bier. This update aims to enhance user engagement by simplifying the process of joining group chats. In a strategic shift, X will discontinue its Communities feature on May 6 due to declining usage. Community operators are advised to pin group chat links over the next two weeks to facilitate member migration. Moving forward, X plans to focus on developing vertical communities and new features like Custom Timelines.
