Solana Dominates Q1 2026 DEX Spot Trading with 30.6% Market Share

Solana led decentralized exchange (DEX) spot trading in the first quarter of 2026, capturing a 30.6% market share despite a 26.5% decline in trading volume, according to CoinGecko data. Ethereum, however, overtook Solana in March with a 27% share, while Solana held 26%. Binance Smart Chain (BSC) secured the second position for the quarter with a 24.5% market share, slightly ahead of Ethereum's 23.7%. BSC's trading volume experienced a sharper decline, potentially dropping it to third place in the next quarter. Meanwhile, Monad, which launched its mainnet in early 2025, has climbed to the tenth position in spot trading activity, surpassing Unichain and Optimism.
