Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has expressed a shift in his stance on universal basic income (UBI), now advocating for distributing AI-generated wealth through mechanisms like "collective ownership." This change was revealed during a recent podcast appearance. Concurrently, the token of his crypto project World, WLD, has experienced a dramatic decline, trading at approximately $0.25, a drop of over 98% from its peak of $11.82 in March 2024. The World Foundation, associated with the Worldcoin project, previously sold about 239 million WLD tokens, raising approximately $65 million. The significant depreciation in WLD's value highlights the volatility and challenges faced by the project in the evolving crypto market.
