Upbit to Suspend HBAR Transactions Amid Hedera Network Upgrade

Upbit, a leading South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, will temporarily suspend HBAR deposits and withdrawals due to an upcoming Hedera network upgrade. The suspension will begin on May 20, 2026, at 23:00 KST and will remain in effect until network stability is confirmed. While HBAR spot trading will continue as usual, users are advised that deposits made before or during the suspension may face delays or fail to process. Upbit has assured users that the restoration of deposit and withdrawal services will be announced separately following the completion of the network upgrade. The exchange is in close communication with the Hedera project team to ensure the security of user assets during this period.
