Ukrainian National Extradited to U.S. Over $340M Crypto Fraud Charges

Olena Oblamska, a Ukrainian national accused of operating the crypto investment platform Forsage, has been extradited from Thailand to the United States. She appeared in federal court in Oregon, pleading not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Prosecutors allege that Forsage, which claimed to offer Ethereum blockchain-based smart contract investments, was actually a Ponzi and pyramid scheme involving approximately $340 million. Oblamska is currently detained pending trial, with jury proceedings scheduled to begin on July 14, 2026. If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
