While the new system eases the application process, Google continues to ban several types of crypto ads, including those for DeFi trading protocols, ICOs, and unauthorized crypto buying, selling, or trading promotions. The company also restricts sites that compare crypto issuers or related products, such as investment advice pages and broker review sites. This move aligns with global trends towards stricter oversight of crypto promotions, as major jurisdictions implement comprehensive cryptocurrency frameworks.
