Coinbase and iTrustCapital to Launch Bitcoin Yield Strategy for IRAs

Coinbase Asset Management and iTrustCapital have announced a partnership to introduce a Bitcoin yield strategy within tax-deferred IRA accounts. This initiative, expected to launch in late 2025 or early 2026, aims to provide iTrustCapital clients with the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin and capture beta returns with additional yield, benefiting from tax-free compounding. The collaboration comes after an executive order from the Trump administration in August, which encouraged the inclusion of cryptocurrency strategies in retirement accounts. iTrustCapital, the largest self-directed digital asset IRA provider in the U.S., manages over $7 billion in crypto assets, positioning it well to leverage this new offering.
