HIVE Digital Technologies is set to expand its bitcoin mining operations in Paraguay with a new 100-megawatt facility at the Yguazú site, powered by the Itaipu hydroelectric plant. This third-phase expansion will boost HIVE's renewable energy capacity in Paraguay to 400 megawatts and aims to increase its global hashrate target to 35 EH/s by 2026. The construction is scheduled to start in early 2026, with full operations expected by the third quarter of the same year. This development will elevate HIVE's total renewable energy infrastructure capacity across Paraguay, Canada, and Sweden to 540 megawatts.
