A former White House communications director has publicly urged the impeachment of President Donald Trump over his increasingly contentious approach toward Greenland, adding fuel to an already deepening political and diplomatic crisis that has drawn rare criticism from both international leaders and members of the president’s own party.

Anthony Scaramucci outlined five severe geopolitical and strategic risks posed by any U.S. military action against Greenland, warning that such a move could fracture NATO, drive Europe closer to China, legitimize territorial aggression by rivals, weaken the dollar’s standing and trigger a prolonged insurgency in the Arctic.
Scaramucci concluded his analysis by saying "hopefully Trump will be impeached and removed from office if he tries this. It is no longer a zero probability.”
The remarks come amid escalating tensions over Trump’s renewed push to acquire Greenland, an autonomous territory of Greenland and his threat to impose tariffs on NATO allies if they do not support U.S. control.
