Lighter has announced that its Token Generation Event (TGE) and airdrops will occur in 2025, with airdrops comprising 25% of the total token supply. These tokens will be unlocked and directly distributed to the Lighter wallets of TGE holders, eliminating the need for a claiming process. During an AMA session, Pilla.eth, Lighter's Head of Marketing, revealed that 50% of the token supply will be allocated to the community, and details of the token economic model will be released gradually. While buybacks are planned, the specific amount remains unspecified. Additionally, there will be no official Lighter NFTs, though community NFTs are expected, and rumors of a Meme coin airdrop have been dismissed.
