Kimi Secures $2 Billion Funding, Valuation Surpasses $20 Billion

Kimi, also known as Moonshot AI, has successfully completed a $2 billion funding round, elevating its valuation to over $20 billion. The round was led by Meituan Dragonfly, with significant contributions from China Mobile and CPE (China CITIC Capital), among others. Meituan Dragonfly alone invested more than $200 million. This latest funding marks Kimi's fourth round in less than six months, during which it has raised over $3.9 billion. The company's valuation has surged more than fourfold from $4.3 billion in November last year. Kimi now holds the record for the highest cumulative fundraising among AI large model startups, with total funding exceeding RMB 37.6 billion.
