A Spanish court has authorized the seizure of digital assets, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC), in the investigation of the Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas case linked to former Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. The court's decision allows for the potential confiscation of cryptocurrencies hidden in virtual wallets, with Prosegur's digital asset custody entity handling the technical custody. The investigation centers on a €53 million bailout provided by the Spanish government to Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas in 2021. Authorities are examining allegations of influence peddling, money laundering, document forgery, and organized crime in connection with the bailout.
