Coinbase Finalizes MATIC to POL Migration Ahead of Delisting

Coinbase is set to permanently delist Polygon's MATIC on October 14, 2025, marking the completion of a year-long migration to the native token POL. All remaining MATIC balances will be automatically converted to POL at a 1:1 ratio, with transaction functions paused from October 14 to 18. Polygon Labs reports that 99% of MATIC has already been migrated to POL, aligning with the Polygon 2.0 roadmap. Despite the successful migration, POL's price has fallen to $0.2273, reflecting a 3.7% decrease in the past 24 hours and a 40.5% drop since the migration began in September 2024.
